Surprise players this year to trade for
Joey Votto: 1B Reds : His power had been great, complementing his .360 lead leading batting average.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Aaron Hill IF Blue Jays: Hill has been batting way over .300, with 10 Homers and 40 RBI.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Johnny Damon OF Yankees: His power has matched his great speed, and great average.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Raul Ibanez OF Phillies: Ibanez was good in seattle, and now he might be the MVP this year. Absolutley the most suprising story of the year.

Easy way to get goog pitching
I myself have found, in many fantasy leagues...that under-rated relief pitchers are among the free agent lists. If you have bad pitching like me...then grab some closers. I got George Sherill, and invested in Jonathan Broxton in a trade. It is wasy to get good players with free agency...they are always there in pitching.

Top Players of Fantasy Value
1. Albert Pujols 1B Cardinals: His power is complemented by his contact, and his plate vision and patience is the key to his success. He also is a gold glove winner, which doesn't usually count in fantasy league, but that just shows how talented he is.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
2. Ian Kinsler 2B Rangers: His Power and contact are also above average, but he is also stealing bases, unlike the rest of the great fantasy heroes. He drives in the rest of the power hitting Rangers, who appear late in these rankings.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
3. Evan Longoria 3B Rays: His power is how it always has been, except smarter and providing more contact. Longoria has gotten smarter as he ages; and shows no signs of slowing down. He has almost 40 RBI's and is hitting well over .300 and even leads the major leagues in doubles. He is what seems to me, the front runner of the AL MVP race.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
4.Aaron Hill 2B/SS Blue Jays: The young one has 30+ RBI's and is hitting over .300, with 10+ Homers and is the fuel of this surprisingly successful Toronto team. He is an overall well-rounded hitter, and is still young, and to me a fantasy hero.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
5. Hanley Ramirez SS Marlins: He does it all, speed, power, contact, and even fielding. He seems like a veteran to this young Florida team that hits explosively. The only reason Ramirez is not in the top 3 on this list is because of his slow start to this season, and now, he is just getting warmed up.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
6. Jason Bay OF Red Sox: The Canadian contact hitter has tremendous plate discipline and vision, which has stared his tear lately, and has 30+ RBI's with 11 Homers. He is hot lately, and he started a couple weeks ago, why stop now?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
7.Justin Morneau 1B Twins: The sweet hitting south paw is on a tear right now, after hitting two homers last night, he hit another today, to help his twins in their recent winning streak, along with the recently activated, no longer crippled Joe Mauer, which makes Morneau that much more dangerous of a hitter.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
8. Zack Greinke SP Royals: Finally, a pitcher in these rankings. Greinke has one loss this year, thanks to a sacrifice fly in right field, as his 0.60 era shows his dominance. Greinke has overcome many things to reach this level of performance, and he is not stopping until he holds that Cy Young trophy, which I guarantee all of you he will win.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
9. Hank Blalock 3B,1B Rangers: he has outrageous power, that just is amazing considering the fact that I got him from free agency in my fantasy league. 10 Homers from a guy that missed most of last season due to an injury, wow I think Blalock has Comeback player of the year in his back pocket, if Greinke doesn't snag that too.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
10. Jonathan Broxton Closer Dodgers: Wait, Who? Yea the closer for the dodgers, young prospect Broxton is 4-0 with a 1.50 era. He has more wins than most staring pitchers, and even has 9 saves this season. He is a great player to have, and don't be surprised if he is still being underrated.
